I just watched Anthony's video on syncing all the LR apps he made last year. And I watched another couple from other YouTubers. They all say you have to create a collection set for new photos to sync to. However, testing it shows that the new photos sync to the original folder where all of the current iPhone photos I synced and not to the collection set I created. What am I missing here? Did something change in the past year or am I thinking about two different things.

On mac LrC preferences > Lightroom Sync it opens mac finder which only allows you to choose folders, collections are a LrC thing. I’ve been then pulling images I want to edit from the “Synced Photos” folder I have created and put them in an ordinary LrC folder and then from that folder create a colllection which i edit then flip on the double arrow box to the left of collections to sync the LrC collection which then shows up on my iphone as a Lr album.
Once I pull the images from the Synced Photos folder and put them in a normal LrC folder I assume they are no longer synced to the cloud and only sync again when i create a collection and add a double arrow to the box.
This is my understanding of the process. I would appreciate some feedback letting me know if this is correct or if some other method works better. Thanks
