I just tried loading the ON1 Photo Raw presets into the new "2026" and I keep getting error messages. I had to change the suffix on the file from ONPresets to "ONP" before 2026 would even recognize the file.
Preset file still would no load properly into ON1 2026.

Sometime within the next 6-24 months we'll be moving to a location without high speed internet access, not at any price. Hence I'm transitioning to Topaz Photo AI for all editing while keeping Lightroom for management of my library. I can accept the slower speed processing off line.
Is Anthony going to update the Mastering Topaz Labs Photo AI course or do I need to look elsewhere?
Burhaneddin,
Your reply is mostly inaccurate and finally you complain that the software companies don't give you free software.
The suite is an integration of existing products much as Adobe does with their cloud subscriptions. I have the Adobe basic subscription which includes Lightroom, Photoshop and Camera Raw; all of which work the same in a package as they did as separate products. All of which get continuous enhances that are funded by the subscription fee.
Topaz Studio is a similar packaging though, over time, we can expect to see more integration between the products. Enhancing features does NOT require a completely new course from Anthony. We can still learn the existing features from his current course and check the specific enhancements at the Topaz learning site, which is free.
Subscriptions make sense to those of us who want to see continuous improvement in the products. Those improvements need to be funded. If you are not willing to support these enhancements then use one of the free photo editing tools such as Dark Table though they need contributions to continue funding their tools.

I've not found a good comprehensive course on InDesign. I learned it via Skillshare:
Hello,
I’m somewhat new to photo editing and I use Lightroom (Lr) Version 8.5.
I recently watched Anthony’s video about On1 Resize AI 2026 and got excited about the possibility of rescuing some of my low-resolution images. So, I heavily cropped a bird photo within Lr and exported it as a jpeg.
I then opened the image into Resize AI and followed the steps in Anthony’s video. Everything went fine until the very last step. In Anthony’s video the last step involves saving the file as a jpeg and then Resize AI renders the image using what it calls “Magic AI”.
In my case however, the AI rendering didn’t invoke and all I got was a saved low-resolution jpeg (i.e., no different to the one that I imported). I checked and repeated the process several times, always with the same result.
What might I be doing wrong? Any thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated.
Regards
Gavin
See my previous post about not being able to open a LrC image in Photoshop anymore?
I had similar problems, but mostly sending a PS image back to LrC. If Adobe can't help solve your problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling both programs. (Make sure you back up everything, first.) Here's a way to narrow down the problem to LrC: Put an image on your Desktop and then go to PS and Import it. If you do that a couple of times and there are no problems then you know the problem is with Adobe and not user error. Good luck!
Only a month or more ago, I was able to follow Anthony in his tutorial about "editing an LrC image in Photoshop. It was very straightforward, going up to the menu bar> edit in> Photoshop 2025 ...
The image would open in Ps and when we pressed "save," it popped back into LrC.
Something has changed. I did set the opening page in Ps to a different seting but how do i get back? Any th9oughs? Help please!
Best regards

Art,
A few quick questions:
What is the setting change or changes that you made in PS?
What happens to the image when you press "Enter In"? Does screen go blank or nothing happens?
In LrC Preferences (Edit/Preferences/External Editing), what Photoshop version are you pointing to?
You can also right click on the photo and try the "Open In" option that way though I suspect you will get the same response. I did have a similar problem a while back (year or two) and the problem was the image was opening in PS but in a position that was off the edge of the screen and not readily visible.
One thing that frequently works, is through the Adobe Creative Cloud, uninstall PS, then reinstall it.
Hi i'm editing some photos in lightroom classic and want to

just to add... I've not had this issue using LrC to open picture edits in PS with windows11
Hi... old LR5 user here... I have a couple of cluttered remote drives here and trying to clean up and create reliable data backups I need help to know which folders belong to Lightroom. Like everyone, when I started with LR 10 years ago I knew nothing about it. I know now I should have set up all the photo files and others in a separate folder called 'Lightroom'. I am running with Windows11.
I am guessing the relevant ones are those 3 that start with 'Lightroom". Appreciate some guidance please so the future looks neater.
From doing a simple Google search for "Lightroom 5 Program files," I found the below (I take no responsibility for this but it may be a good starting point. Further search may yield more refined results).
Lightroom 5 stores its program files, including built-in camera profiles, in specific locations on your computer. The program files themselves are typically found in the "Applications" folder, while custom camera profiles are stored in the "CameraRaw" folder within the "Adobe" folder in the user's "Library" or "Application Support" directory. Additionally, Lightroom 5 uses catalog files and previews, which are stored in user-defined locations, usually within the "My Pictures" or "Documents" folders.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Program Files:
Windows:
The main Lightroom 5 application file is typically located in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom 5
.
macOS:
The Lightroom 5 application is located within the Applications folder, usually as Adobe Lightroom 5.app
.
2. Camera Profiles:
Windows:
Custom camera profiles are stored in C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\CameraProfiles
.
macOS:
They are located in /Users/[Your Username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CameraRaw/CameraProfiles
.
3. Catalog and Previews:
Lightroom 5 catalogs (which store information about your photos and edits) and previews can be stored in any location you choose.
A common location is within your user's "My Pictures" or "Documents" folder, often within a subfolder named "Lightroom" or "Lightroom Catalog".
The Lightroom catalog file has the extension .lrcat
.
Preview files are typically stored in a subfolder with the .lrdata
extension.
4. Presets and Templates:
Installed and user-created presets and templates are stored in folders within the [username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom
folder (macOS) or the [username]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom
folder (Windows).
5. Other Important Files:
Backups:
Lightroom creates backups of your catalog, which are stored in a "Backups" folder within the same directory as your catalog file.
Preferences:
Preference files are stored in the [username]/Library/Preferences/Adobe/Lightroom
folder (macOS) or [username]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Lightroom
folder (Windows).
Note: Some folders, like the user Library folder on macOS and the AppData folder on Windows, are hidden by default. You may need to enable "Show hidden files and folders" in your operating system settings to access them.
Thank you Barry, but that isn't really helpful... where the application works doesn't concern me. I save all my photos on a remote drive as well as catalog files and catalog backups. I think I need to start with a clean disk and import some pics, edit them and then see what folders LR creates on that clean disk. Thaks again.
When I try to use the Clone tool, the outline does not appear so I can't move it over what to clone. What can I do?
Tap the "H" key. Tapping the H key will cycle through all of the overlay options, such as Auto, Off, Always on, and Selected.
Also, after you use the tool, on the right hand panel, you'll see a "Tool Overlay" dropdown. From there you can change the options as well.
Great thank you!
