I have a question regarding using Lightroom and a NAS for image file storage. I understand that Lightroom Classic does not allow the catalog to be on a NAS. I want to storage only the image files on the NAS. Will Lightroom Classic allow that?
I've never done it, but I've heard of people who did. They complained that it caused Lightroom to run very slowly and to crash occasionally, so I would proceed with caution.

I have a Synology NAS that I use with Lightroom Classic without any issues.
