Since updating Photoshop today and Lightroom Classic in the last week or so, when I try to open a RAW (Nikon NEF) image in Photoshop to remove distractions, Photoshop opens but the image does not. I am able to navigate to the image file and open it into Photoshop / Adobe Camera Raw where it has the edits already applied in Lightroom Classic. 'Edit In' Topaz Photo opens the image into Topaz as expected.
I am using Lightroom Classic 14.2 Build 202502071718-3869eef7, Photoshop 26.5.0 release and my External Editing Preferences are shown in the attached screenshot.
Any suggestions?

Do you also have Photoshop Beta also installed? Sometimes, when you select open in photoshop, it will open in PS Beta instead. This can only happen if you have PS and PS Beta installed. There is a setting in PS to open the raw file in PS vs PS Beta.

Thank you for your reply. I did recently install PS Beta and I can select either PS or PS Beta to open the file, but while the chosen program opens, the image file does not.

This happens now and then when Adobe issues an update. Robert brought up PS Beta — I would uninstall that, reboot my computer, then see if it starts working correctly with Photoshop 2025. I say that because in the past, PS Beta sometimes interfered with the handoff between LrC and Photoshop. If that doesn't work, you can try uninstalling PS 2025, rebooting, then reinstalling to see if that fixes it, but I suspect it's a bug that Adobe will need to deal with.

Problem now resolved :) I uninstalled both PS and PS Beta, then reinstalled PS 2025 and image opens as expected.
Thank you for the advice.

With PS 2025 (not Beta) open, I cannot open from Lightroom 14.2 a file with LR adjustments but can "open a copy" of the image. Nor can I open the original from LR.
I had this happen when 26.5 was in Beta but it disappeared with the next PS update version.
Probably just send a note over the Beta folks.
