Why I Compose & Process the Way I Do

Why I Compose & Process the Way I Do

In this long meandering video, I explain why I compose the way I do and why I process a RAW file the way I do.

I make no claim that this is the ONLY way to shoot and process an image nor am I saying any other way might be “Wrong” or “Stupid”. I’m merely explaining the way I do things, as a reference for those that watch my videos can better understand my philosophy.

My hope is that this educates and stimulates you to investigate how other photographers compose and edit so that you can come up with something unique, that works for you.

Basic Photography – Episode 1: Basic Composition

This is a new video series where I talk about things that should interest and might help one who is beginning photography.

In this, the first episode, I talk about some very basic composition. This video is not meant to be all inclusive as I choose to talk about and give examples of three main types of composition:

1.) Rule of Thirds
2.) Framing
3.) Leading Lines

With leading lines I go on to explain it down a bit more with examples of converging and diagonal lines.
