Anthony do you have any class’s for beginners in the Buffalo area?

  • Anthony Dobbie  says:

Without a doubt you are my go to man when it comes to learning all things photographic. You have no idea how (in a nice way) you have impacted on my life. A thankyou doesn’t seem enough and I figure the money I have saved in tutoring is well worth a few dollars a month I have pledged through your Paypal system. I sincerely hope many of your other subscribers get on board as well because you really are doing a great job. As always, I’m looking forward to this new series on Macro photography as well as your future series on studio work. On a side note, if you could possibly spare 5 minutes from your busy schedule. I would love for you to have a quick look at my Flickr account and give me a quick and honest appraisal. That would be nice. Here’s my link to my public photostream. https://www.flickr.com/photos/88dreams/

Thank you very much for your kind words Anthony! Your images are awesome! They’re all excellent but I’m particularly fond of “Reminiscing” and I like the image of the dog, “Anscott Midnight Image-1”. I like “Reminiscing” because the lighting is awesome and really projects a great mood. I like the dog image because I like dogs! lol The processing on all of your images is superb! Nice work!

  • Larry Marx  says:

Tony, as far as I am concerned, you are my photography guru. Your videos on
Lightroom 6, information on photography basics and street photography has been so helpful. I love your presets and advise on how to create your own has been invaluable. I gladly signed up to donate $1 since you have helped me in so many ways. I look forward to your videos and have sent them to my Facebook friends. Thanks.

    • Anthony Morganti  says:

Thank you very much Larry. I truly appreciate your kind support!

  • Ozzie Alfonso  says:

Anthony, as far as your videos go you are doing just fine. As you go along, you might want to add a second camera for closeups and/or edit them using one camera and two passes.

    • Anthony Morganti  says:

Yes, I’d definitely like to have a second camera!

  • Phil sagar  says:

stunning photos Anthony dobbie, i have so much to learn yet.

  • Sherri O  says:

Hi Anthony: Thank you so much for your amazing videos! I’m doing the Lightroom 6 series, and just watched the first in the macro series. I can’t wait to start the Photoshop series.

I have learned more from you than several pricey classes I’ve taken. It’s a pleasure to make a donation to support your work. Thank you for giving us a variety of ways to provide support to you.

  • Andy S  says:

    Hi…
I really enjoy your videos, both lr and PS are very informative and useful.
I am fairly new to photography and take a lot of high school sports photography shots. Basketball, golf, track, football etc. I take photos at the events for my children, and other people’s children. When I am finished I usually have about 200 photos that I like to process and upload to Flickr so the other parents can access them. It can be very time consuming to give the appropriate processing attention to each photo before uploading.
Do you have any advice, or could you do a video to help me speed things along?
Thanks again for all you do.

  • Jim Mitchell  says:

    Anthony,
I think your lessons are the best out there. The podcasts are another thing.Great info but the presentation does not hold up to others. Closer shots of you and a simpler background. Number 7 was much better with the darkness to your right. You also have wondering eyes. Usually looking to your right. If you need to see your notes put them below the camera. Last but not least fresher looking shirts would make you look more professional.

Love your work and will always be a fan. Just sharing my interpretation.

  • J-M RAYMOND  says:

    Hi Mr Morganti.
At first thank you very much for your greats videos.

I’d like to support you by purchase via Amazon, but unfortunatly am Frensh (so I live in France), and for taxes reasons (lack of taxes to be precise, like you say in one of your “Photography is my passion”, it’s not reasonnable to mess with taxes) am not confortable to purchase gears and stuffs via UK or US amazon.
Do you plan, any time soon, to propose a link to support you via Amazon.fr ?
I don’t know if it is possible for you, but i would love to can support you that way.

Anyway, great vidéos, great job that you do! Thank you for all of that.
I would’nt be 1/10 as confortable, editing with LightRoom, without you and your vidéos.

    keep going, and take care.

Anthony, have you created a DVD for purchase that has all you online Lightroom 6 tutorials? You mentioned at the beginning of lesson One that this will be available, along with the RAW images used in the tutorials. It would be great to view these lessons offline at my own leisure. Thanks

  • […] I Need Your Help […]

  • Vincent James  says:

Question for you Anthony. Not sure if this is the place for this kind of question, but here we go. Once you edit your RAW file, I assume you still need to refine the picture in Photoshop or Lightroom for tweaking. You wouldn’t do all your editing in RAW, but follow up editing in Lightroom.

  • Jim Britton  says:

    Hi Vincent,
This isn’t Anthony, it’s Jim Britton. As I understand it, you don’t ‘edit’ your RAW file in Lightroom, it stays untouched. Lightroom creates a file that lists the modifications, the instructions, of what you want to do to your image. You then can save that image as jpeg, or whatever other format you want, as a modified image. Hope that answers your question.

    • Vincent James  says:

Thanks for your help JIm. Actually, here’s where I am with my raw files. I find myself working on the raw file, saving it as a Tiff, and then further editing in Light room or Photoshop Elements. I am not sure whether the further adjustments are necessary, or I should just continue tweaking my raw file.

  • Jim Britton  says:

Vincent, I would just keep adjusting the RAW file until you get what you want, then save the adjusted image to TIFF. I don’t see the advantage in adjusting the TIFF file. It doesn’t contain the information your RAW file does, and messing with the TIFF might create excessive noise in your final image. You can always go backwards in your instructions to a previous point in your RAW adjustment steps if you want to. The RAW file stays unchanged, you’re just creating instructions and can do whatever you want. I don’t think you can do that if you physically adjust your TIFF file.

  • Chris  says:

Hey Anthony, thanks for the great training videos for lightroom. I bought your raw files, and have a great handle on processing images now.
My question for you is: when someone offers to buy a photo of yours for a website, magazine, etc., what is the process of selling it to them. How is the money exchanged, and what factors do you consider when deciding what price to sell the image or images for?

  • Emad  says:

    Sir,
Hi , I hope you are fine and doing great , I really enjoyed your you tube videos that you presented and I’m subscriber of your great channel .
I believe you are decent person that like to help people in the Art of Photography that’s why you have kept every video as free and so you deserve donation which is the minimum thing that me or any one should do.
I have some questions here ..first I’m Amateur photographer that loves shooting even though I don’t have the gears that makes my photos superb but I believe that the skills and talents that makes great photos, what I want to say is that I don’t have extension tube , macro lens, inversion tube or even macro filters but only kitlens and Sony alpha 85 Camera (croped sensor) and usually I shoot by the defualt Macro setting in my Camera and later I prosses the photos in lightroom is this oK as beginner or Ihave to buy the minimum requirement gear for Camera??
the 2nd question is that Do you provide private lessons in your website or no?
Thanks so much for your beloved lessons and I wish you all the best.
    Dr. Emad Sharaf

    Hi Anthony,
I love your site and watch all your videos, thanks.
I have just purchased a Fuji X-T2 with the 16-55 2.8 WR lens. Recently I attended a motorsport event and for the first time tried panning and freezing fast-moving cars using CF mode. I have to say my success was poor – with hundreds of out-of-focus shots.
Do you have a training video on panning, continuous focus-type work?
