In a month or so, I’ll be launching a newsletter. The weekly newsletter will have an article that isn’t available on the website and it will have contests and giveaways. Also, I’m currently writing some photography eBooks — subscribers to the newsletter will get the eBooks at a discount.
To encourage people to sign up for the newsletter, I planned to give away the presets I’ve developed for Lightroom 5. I hoped that my presets were unique and that I wouldn’t be giving away something that was available some place else. To ensure that, I’ve been looking at other photographer’s presets to make sure I’m not copying them. While looking around at presets, I’ve found some awesome ones that are free! I also found some photoshop actions, templates and brushes.
It occurred to me that I should share them with you. With so many great ones available I’ll probably have to think of another incentive when my newsletter is ready to launch. But, in the meantime, enjoy these presets from some super talented photographers and teachers.
Gavin Hoey is one of my favorite trainers. You can find his training videos on his website and in the Adorama Learning Center. On his website he has a section he calls, “Friday Freebie”. He has Photoshop brushes, actions and a lot more. Check it out here:
The folks over at Sleeklens offer a nice bundle of free Photoshop Actions to compliment and introduce their fine paid product. You can download them here:
This website is giving away a free Lightroom 5 preset everyday for a year. Check them out here:
This article from Photo Tuts+ explains how to load the presets into Lightroom, how to make your own presets and they have links to 100 free presets. Check them out:
The website Creative Bloq is giving away 50 free Adobe Photoshop actions. Download them here:
With all these great freebies on the internet I’m having second thoughts about giving away my Lightroom presets. It appears that giving away presets isn’t really offering much incentive for people to sign up for my newsletter. So, I’ll try to think of something else. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy and put to good use the free stuff from the links I’ve provided.
If you’re interested in Learning Adobe Photoshop Elements, check out the new video tutorial series I’m doing. I put the first video up yesterday — you can find it here.
Also, I’m doing more videos for the Learn Lightroom 5 series. Those should be up in the next few days. You can check out what I’ve already done here.
