Photoshop for Photographers – Episode 15: Curly Hair Composite

by Anthony Morganti

In a previous episode of Photoshop for Photographers I did a composite using the Quick Selection Tool. In that video, the model had relatively straight, combed hair. Unfortunately, the Quick Selection Tool is relatively worthless if you’re trying to composite a model with curly hair or flyaway hair. In this video, I demonstrate a method to composite such a model, in this case a model with curly hair, by using a Photoshop selection process called, “Color Range”.

Photoshop For Photographers – Episode 14: Tilt Shift Effect

by Anthony Morganti

If you’re reading this in your email, click on the headline to see the video.

Tilt shift lenses are often used by architectural photographers because they have controls on them that can correct for any geometric distortions induced by the lens. They’re often used by portrait photographers as well in their environmental and lifestyle shots to put more emphasis on the subject. Finally, landscape photographers often use them to control blur createvly because the blur of the tilt shift effect can make an expansive landscape appear to be a miniature model shot with a macro lens.

Photoshop For Photographers – Episode 13: Create a Panorama

by Anthony Morganti

If you’re reading this in your email, click on the headline to see the video.

Many of you may recall that I created a panorama in Episode 19 of my Learn Lightroom 5 Video series but in this video, I do it slightly different. In the Lightroom Video, after Photoshop created the Panorama, I had to crop away a large part of the image, in this video, I demonstrate an alternative way with minimal cropping.

If you know how to install Photoshop Actions, skip to 1:15 in the video to see the Actions, in action.

My Third Photoshop Action Bundle – YAY!

This bundle consists of two different Photoshop Actions – One will give a nice pencil drawing effect and the other gives a great retro vintage look to your images.

Both Actions works great on Photoshop CS5 and above – CS5, CS6, CC, CC2014 etc.

The Pencil Effect works great with Elements 11, 12 and 13 but unfortunately, the retro vintage look doesn’t work with Elements at all.

This bundle includes both the Pencil Drawing Effect and Retro Vinta...
